Story

The City of East Point Parks and Recreation promotes a healthy community where all residents participate in a broad range of parks, recreation and cultural enrichment activities offered at various well-maintained public facilities. Thereby, residents will be physically and mentally healthy and better connected to their neighbors and community.

Community Computer Learning Center
Come and enjoy Jefferson Park Recreation Center’s new Community Computer Learning Center. Sign up for various workshops for both youth and adults. Some of the workshops include game design, app design, professional resume and cover letter, job searching strategies with technology, flyers & posters for events and small business, and business document creation with templates to name a few. Summer Day Camp
Enjoy a fun filled summer with the Parks and Recreation Summer Day Camp. Our camp will engage your child various activities. Some of the activities include arts and crafts, exploration, cultural enrichment, fitness, dance, team building, community service, games, and exciting field trips. Summer Day Camp is an eight week program beginning in June and ending in July. Parents / Guardians may drop off their children as early as 7:00 am and must pick them up no later than 6:30 pm. The fee is $50.00 per week. GA CAPS is accepted. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information.

10 and Under Quick Start Tennis
Learn to play the game to correct way. By following the same logic as other youth sports such as baseball and soccer, kid-sized courts and kid-sized equipment is used in this program. This program will teach participants proper stroke techniques, racquet grips, court awareness and teamwork. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information.

Itsy Bitsy Tennis
This is tennis for the little ones. Ages four (4) to six (6) get an introduction to the USTA Quick Start Tennis format. Participants will learn basic tennis skills through various drills. These drills will improve participants footwork, stance, racquet grips, forehand, backhand, volleys, ball contact, and court awareness. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information.

Archery
Participants will learn basic archery skills- safety, form, focus, scoring, and teamwork. They will learn the identity of the various archery equipment parts and how to repair and assemble them. Participants will meet new friends and learn a sport that requires complete discipline. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information.

Zumba Fitness
Zumba Fitness is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health. Come to Jefferson Park Recreation Center and experience the party. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:00pm. The fee is $6.00 per class. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information

Senior Bingo
This program invites seniors age 55 and over to come to Jefferson Park Recreation Center and engage in a fun game of Bingo! This is an opportunity to socialize and meet new people. This program is held every third (3rd) Wednesday of each month. Ten games of bingo are played each Wednesday. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information.

Adult Men’s Basketball
Stay fit and compete in the East Point Adult Men’s Basketball Program. Enjoy the game you love to play in a very competitive environment. Games are played during the week in the evenings. There is no individual registration, only team registration. The fee is $375 per team. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information.

Youth Baseball
Come develop your baseball skills in a fun filled environment. Youth also learn teamwork, leadership qualities and responsibility. The program participates in the Youth Baseball Alliance. Games are played during the week and on Saturdays. The fee is $50.00 (ages 3-4), $65.00 (ages 5-6), $90.00 (ages 7-14).

Youth Softball
Come develop your softball skills in a fun filled environment. Youth also learn teamwork, leadership qualities and responsibility. Games are played during the week and on Saturdays. The fee is $70.00 (ages 9-14).

Youth Football & Cheer
Be a part of the East Point Bulldogs!! Our youth football and cheer program provides excellent fitness and team building skills for your child. The program participates in the Youth Football Alliance. Come and have fun, cheer on the Bulldogs!!! This is an eight to ten week program. Practices begin in July and games will begin in September. Youth Basketball
Ballin’ in the point! Come play basketball with the East Point Bulldogs! Develop your skills and enjoy the game. The program participates in the Youth Basketball Alliance. This is an eight to ten week program. Practices begin in October and games begin in January. The fee is $80.00. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information.

Youth Track & Field
Your Olympic track and field dreams begin here! Come learn the basic skills of Track and Field and compete in various track meets. Youth will participate in running & field events. They will learn running technique as well as sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and commitment. The fee is $50.00. Call 404.270.7054 for additional information.

FALL FESTIVAL
