I was a former employee there, some 19 years ago and have been a patron since. JG is the best place to eat in Ann Arbor hands down for value, quality and uniqueness. Try the vegetarian grape leaves. They are an old family secret of the owners and have been hand made since day one. Epic.

This place was awesome! The did was fantastic, pita, hummus, sandwiches... A fresh variety that leaves you satisfied, not feeling greasy and gluttonous. To top it off you don't break the bank either, my wife and I got in and out under 20$ after our tip. If there's a downside is that it's busy so you may have to wait to be seated, but I think the busy atmosphere adds to the feel of the place

Great vegetarian options. Been a loyal customer before their move to the current location and happy to say the quality hasn't changed. The only thing that I miss is the crushed ice in the water. The cubes aren't as yummy but you know if the only complaint is the ice the food must be great. The lentil soup is worth the 45m drive for me.

I just enjoyed a great meal here. The setting/ambiance is bright and cheerful, service to match. Great for solo dining. Food was nearly perfect and not expensive at all.

Jerusalem garden is a staple of Middle Eastern food in A2. It has options for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. I love their intense Turkish coffee, the spinach pies (which uses a stretchier dough that the traditional filo), and the ability to buy a little bit of everything with the sampler platters. The new space, while certainly larger than the old location, feels a little too cold, modern and airy. I wish it had some of that coziness of the old location. Affordable and delicious though!
