When my daughter was transferred here for "evaluation" they put her in a cell containing a toilet, sink and a metal platform 6" off the floor and 1 blanket too small to cover herself up. It took 3-4 days of asking to get a second blanket. And she was NAKED!!! They took the paper clothes she came there with and left her naked for 10 days!!!! We called during this time and were told she was " just waiting"
If you have a loved one transferred there do not assume they are all right. Follow up with the facility.

Regardless of what people say you only go here if you're suicidal or homicidal. That's it. 
This is one of the worst hospitals there is. It's only for TDCJ inmates. It doesn't matter. Everyone comes in handcuffed behind their back and shackles. You see one of the mental health Dr. to evaluate your status. It's hard to get admitted because only few beds available. You wear a paper gown. You will go through a psych evaluation every day to determine if you get admitted. It's not the best place to be. You have not much interaction with guards. Your constantly locked in the unit whether your cell or day area. It definitely is the worst place to be. During the 72 hour evaluation you're fed 1 peanut butter sandwich or a tuna sandwich.
