You're better off going to another private hospital for emergency situations that require you to call an ambulance. TWO STARS is me being nice. All the nurses AND doctors that I've encountered here lack compassion. With compassion comes great care and service. I do not expect my nurse to be a maid, but I do expect him/her to be alert and stop by my room to check on my 93 year old grandmother every hour or so. If I can't even see good care and service while I'm here daily for 8 hours, how can I expect them to provide at least the minimum when I'm gone for the night? Why do I have to wait more than 5-10 minutes every time I press the bedside button to get someone to come in? Why do I have to repeat myself at least twice to every nurse that I encounter just to get something done? And even worse than the nurses are the DOCTORS. Yes, I said doctors. I'm not doubting their knowledge and expertise. I am most upset that NONE of them have empathy...especially to a dying patient. All the doctors act so high and mighty and am in a rush to leave. Patients and family members can tell whether a doctor truly cares about them. My grandmother and I felt nothing from any of them. Let me ask my questions and thank you before you take off under 5 minutes of conversation. I wasn't even done and the GI doctor left the room leaving me hanging! And today, the nurse told me he came to the floor but he NEVER came to my room! My grandmother came in for GI bleeding and it's been 3 days and there is still some blood in her stool! For God's sake, tell me what the plan is today and show your face to me! When my grandmother was hospitalized at a Harris Health hospital, they had wayyyyyy better care and service than here. It's not even busy on the floor where she's staying. I will never come back nor recommend this place to anyone.

There's billing problems under my account and the hospital refused to contact the insurance directly instead they had me to call the insurance to have them to call them back. It was not just one time, I made so many phone calls to both the insurance and the hospital back and forth but it seemed the hospital didn't want to take their move. The insurance said the hospital billed it wrong, which they charged the nursery fees as delivery fee that was why they reversed the charge and there's not much I could do from my side. Im upset because I tried to solve the problem but the hospital didn't show any effort to help me instead just told me my account was pending for collection and it could be send out anytime. I already told them everything all they needed to do was to call the insurance to correct the billing code. They could just have their billing specialist call the provider line and solve the problem. It's their job to clear this cloud and get paid but they put all the pressure on me. I delivered my elder baby at another hospital and was never bother for any billing problem.

I went to the emergency room because it was the closest to me at the moment I'm pregnant and I been having cough and fever for 3 days, and I couldn't take the pain anymore. When I get seen by a doctor he tells me that I shouldn't be in that hospital and he barely checked my throat and ears and tells me is just an virus. I decided to go to The Woman's Hospital for a second opinion and I came back positive for flu. the doctors and nurses were very friendly and helpful, completely different from St.Luke's

Just moved to Houston from NY three weeks ago. My wife got sick the other day and had to call an ambulance and we did not know where they were taking us. Night staff or the supervisor did not introduce them to me or my wife.(My wife is a retired RN with over 50 years experience) She was taken due to low sugar and high BP. Attending nurse gave IV and checked BP from her station. Neither the Doctor on duty nor any staff came and asked me about her medical condition Other staff (three) members and Nursing Supervisor eating something at the Nurses station. After three hours my wife was discharged and the BP was 189/77😩😩😩No further comments until I get the bill
