I wanted to take time to post a review of my experience with this pharmacy; mostly for all the husbands out there who pick up scripts for their wives or go with them to be filled. My wife has used this pharmacy the last several months; every time she fills a script the wait is extraordinarily long. I came along with her the second time she used this pharmacy; the plan was to fill her script and then both of us head to the gym. It took them so long to fill the prescription that she missed her gym classes she signed up for and it was almost closing time (its in Orland so by the time we would have driven there it would have been closed). We left an hour earlier to leave time to fill the script, but did not count on waiting for multiple hours. They never paged or even spoke with my wife while she stood there (I witnessed this), they never ONCE acknowledged that she had been waiting there outside the pharmacy (for example, Ms. Moser we are getting it ready now, etc.). After nearly 2 hours she asked them, whats going on and the man behind the counter gave her the script that had been ready for who knows how long. While sitting around the corner waiting on the bench I could hear the staff talking about my wife's script. Its not a common script, in fact she fills it here because they usually have it in stock, others don't. The reason I mention this in this review is because the same thing happened to wife again last night; she waited for an extremely long time (the only difference is after nearly 2 hours she went up to the counter to ask WHERE IS MY SCRIPT and instead of having it ready and just conveniently 'deciding' not to give it to her like when I went with her, they just didn't fill it for her while they watched her stand there for several hours AT ALL; while my wife was waiting she was browsing the hair care aisle and over heard them talking about her and her script loud enough where anyone within ear shot of the pharmacy could hear. Then when she finally asked where her script was the woman behind the counter turned and screamed the name of my wife's script to another woman about 15 ft away "HEY IS THE _?" It was humiliating for her.This has happened every single month since she started using Jewel pharmacy; they 'forget her' or they wont fill her script (in the past she has dropped off the script in advance and comes back days later to pick it up the pharmacist tells her they just didn't do it... that happened to her last month) or shes waiting an INCREDIBLY LONG TIME. Id like to point out this is not a script that is made at the Jewel or needs time to fill. Its name brand and goes from the drug company who makes it, remains in the same packaging and goes into the customers bags. When my wife finally gets in their face about 'forgetting' that she is waiting for her script, it takes them in reality less than 2 minutes to actually fill it and hand it to my wife. Why does she have to wait for hours or you forget her every single month then? The first time, she let it go, the second, third, forth month, she let it go. Now, we are finally speaking out about the treatment here in hopes that it prevents others from the same pain and inconvenience this has caused us. I personally believe that the people at the pharmacy are discriminating against her; they believe that this prescribed medication is not necessary. Even thought they don't know my wife; they judge her or assume shes someone she is not. Don't go here, don't let your wife go here. Unless you want to see your wife come home enraged or in tears month after month. And no, I will never go here again or allow my wife to go here again. They only filled a partial script for her last night due to lack of the full script. How much do you want to bet the 'forget her' and never fill the rest?

This is a very nice store. We have just moved back to Illinois after being gone 27yrs and the employees here are very helpful and kind. However, the produce was very limited on the selections for the fruit area. Not sure if their shipment didn't come in today or if they just sold out of the items we were looking for.

I can't stand having to go to this Jewel. People are ignorant, most of the people working the deli are rude, you can be the only one standing there and they pretend they don't see you. Bakery people, it's a hit or miss, depends on how the day's going. There's 1 cashier who always has a smile on her face. 1 guy, older gentleman who stocks the freezer, very nice guy, helpful.. it's a shame, I live right around the corner and when I can, get in my car and drive to the one on 159th street in Orland Park. It's cleaner, fresher produce and friendlier people.
