Literally the highlight of my visits to Wilmington every single time. The place itself is cozy, the staff are always friendly, and the food is consistently delicious.

I highly recommend the poultygeist, not only because the name is the same as one of the most hilarious movies ever made ( which is how I decided to try it 5 years ago) but because it's literally the best chicken sandwich around.

We walked in with 6 adults and 2 kids. The wonderful gentlemen at the country store insisted we went there for lunch.  The lady at Jezebels  restaurant  looked us up and down, rolled her eyes and said “I can’t help you”. We were willing to wait. We were appalled and came to Anchor instead. Is this normal behavior towards people willing to come eat at your restaurant?? Unbelievable. We come up here VERY often but will never come here and will be honest to anyone who asks.

Quaint place with decent food.  We were seated pretty quickly, but a couple parties of four had to wait quite a while after we were seated.   We ordered drinks but soon found out that they were out of some of the ingredients.   I overheard the server tell our neighboring table that something else was out,  too.  We ended up drinking just water. 

Our food was excellent!  I had the pulled pork sandwich with bacon and it was really good.   I was almost done and had made a mess of my hands and had to ask for extra napkins. 

My wife's Cobb Salad was excellent,  with tasty bacon,  guac, and fresh veggies. 

Service is kinda slow, but friendly.

Good food but jizzabel is a bit harsh. We watched her deny a group because they had 6 people. Food was good. A bit pricey for Vermont but if you're a baller it's alright.
