Maurico from Joe's Auto is a great and honest mechanic.  A fellow co-worker recommended him have been going for a couple of years now.  They have done oil changes, brake jobs as well a AC service on my wife's 2007 Honda Civic.  I took her civic in once for a coolant leak after they performed the test Maurico told me the Engine Block was cracked and that was causing the leak.  Joe's Auto could've easily done the work and charged us upwards of $2,500 dollars but he informed me that Honda had issued a recall on this model for the Engine Block oh was that a relief!!  I took it to the Honda dealer in Alhambra and they took care of the problem along with two other recalls that were issued for our car free of charge!!!  I have recommended Joe's Auto to family and friends once you get a reliable mechanic it's best to keep him.

Mauricio (the owner) is an absolutely amazing amazing mechanic. He does stuff for a great price and works efficiently. Took my car there because it had an engine problem and Mauricio and his other mechanics fixed it within a day. And they have this great delivery boy named drake who gets all the parts you need. I definelty recommend this auto repair shop.

I've known Maurico for years and most of the time he does good work; however, if the work requires more than a day attention don't expect to have your vehicle fixed. It may take months or may never be done. I've had my car at his shop for 7 months. If he says "Call me in an hour"  he hasn't worked on your car. He's actually said my car was ready or in his words "done" but on 2 separate occasions and $50 of uber fees I show up to find it isn't true. His excuses range from " I took your car home to drive it, Let me test it, yada yada yada". I finally called the Bureau of Automotive repair and he finally started call me back. In my humble opinion Mauricio is short staffed and over worked but his tendencies to outright lie to you is appalling. He will tell you your car is done and says let me keep it till Monday to test it. I show up on a surprise visit to see the car in pieces. I finally have to tow it. Unbelievable. So if your car needs something simple like oil change, brakes, suspension, Maurice does a fine job but anything major don't leave your car here.

Mauricio is simply the best and honest mechanic I have ever met. He and his other 2 mechanics know what their doing, they do everthing, from oil changes, tune ups, brake jobs, transmission jobs, engine rebuilding, vehicle diagnostics, tire changing as well. he may charge a little more compair to other mechanic shops in the area, but let me tell you one thing, he fixes your vehicle right the very first time, unlike other mechanic shops that try to mickey mouse your vehicle for you to bring it back many times, Mauricio gets to the root of the problem why your vehicle is acting up, he doesn't guess like some mechanics do. he doesn't charge to much either, his prices are reasonable, he also uses quality repacement parts like oem, he doesn't use cheap parts like autozone or o reillys that only last like a couple of months, he uses the good stuff like factory original parts from the dealer. but he gives you two choices, if you want to use the good parts or the cheap parts the choice is yours. he fixed all of my 3 vehicles and not one of them has a single issue. he want beyond the call of duty to make sure my vehicles were fixed the right way in a timely fashion. So my verdict, I recommend you to try Joe's Auto Service, the best mechanic shop in  the Highland park and Eagle Rock area. Mauricio if your reading this, I want to thank you and your buddies for all of your hard work for keep our vehicles in top running condition.
