We rent a cabin here every other year for Christmas. My husband and I rent a cabin for a couple of nights in January to get away and relax after the excitement of the holidays. These cabins are always clean. The hosts are always nice. The kitchens have enough utensils for us cook comfortable meals for our weekend away. We always bring extra stuff for our Christmas cooking. We have six children, so we prepare a huge Christmas dinner. We love the fireplace and the availability of firewood. The wood paneling in the brick cabins soak up the heat from the fireplace and keep the cabin so warm and cozy. The price is great! The cabins are far enough away from town that you have to make a conscious choice to between continuing the peaceful relaxation or going into town. On the other hand, they are close enough to town that if you realize that you forgot something, it's NO problem to run to the small grocery store or to Dollar General and pick up what you need.

Rented a cabin for my family to stay in at my son's wedding it was falling apart. Had to change in middle of the night. I made arragnememts before my elderly aunts got there to put them in the only room available a suite. I paid for it and left the key at the desk for my aunts to check in. The people at the desk told my aunts they would be charged more if they did not return to the dump cabin. MIND YOU I HAD PAID FOR THEIR (Suite ) ROOM IN ADVANCE,. And simply instructed the staff to hand them the key and send them to the new room and say I had paid the bill. Peroid!!. MY 3 AUNTS ARE 64' 67 AND 82 AND THIS IS 1 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING. We were here for a wedding .. The cabin was a 15 person cabin they failed to tell me had one bathroom and it was up a very long flight of stairs.. I did tell you my aunts were 64 67 and 84 right? The place was horrible...blinds were falling off , the place smelled rotten. It was not a place for older adults at all. MAYBE a bunch of men hunting or college kids to party. They charged me for the rental in the dump cabin . I and bascally did nothing to even attempt to make things right. MY AUNTS WERE THERE TO SEE MY SON MARRY AND VISIT WITH THEIR SISTER MY MOM who had open heart surgery the week earlier. INSTEAD THEY LEFT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE WEDDING and stayed down the road towards home that was just for the one cabin we actually had rented two different ones intended for several other family members to also stay together and two other couples friends. That night was a disaster I paid for a bunch of extra hotel rooms and two of the guests that was supposed to stay with us had to stay somewhere else. I did manage to get a second cottage for last night for the rest of the originally intended guest. However this place made no attempt whatsoever to be courteous to make the deal bill anywhere less in fact it cost me more it was a joke

The cabins have a great lake view and the staff is very friendly.

Love these cabins.. Super close to a private dock area not busy and massive fish.. Staff is always super friendly and great to help out with questions our problems.. Great fishermans cabins
