Get place to go fishing and camping. Can be a little crowded during summer time. The fish hatchery is here and when the kids were young they loved it . It also has a small playground and pavilion. Most if not all campsites now have electric and water. So if like trout fishing this is the place to be .

A buddy and I were in the area visiting from East Texas. I've hear that Heber Springs has some pretty phenomenal fly fishing, and it did not disappoint. We caught many trout, rainbow and brown, on streamers and dry flies. We were very pleased with our stop in at JFK campgrounds for two afternoons of fly fishing. Can't wait until we can return.

We camped for 2 nights in the "D" section which is reservable. Campsites on the south side of the loop overlook the Little Red River. The sites are well spaced, paved, level, have water and electricity, and shaded. Very clean and well kept by the Corps of Engineers. Trout fishing in the river and tour the national trout hatchery in the campground. Shopping and dining only 10 minutes away in Heber Springs. Highly recommend this campground.
