After much thought, we asked John to remodel our kitchen October 2015. The estimate was higher than anticipated, but the job also entailed removing a wall between the kitchen and family room. John provided a detailed project plan, as well as assurance that the job would be done on schedule just before Christmas.
He handled the balance between customer wishes vs. what was practical and affordable.
What most impressed me was his attention to detail, pointing out issues that might be problems, as well as recommending thoughtful ideas based on his vast experience.
We have received many compliments on our new enhancement.

I would certainly recommend him for any project regardless of its complexity.

John did a major remodel on a house down the street about 6 years ago. When it was time for me to find a contractor for my remodel, I talked to the home owner and John came highly recommended by her. John was very professional and had great communication from the start and offered up free advice that helped shape my project for the better. All of the subs he brought over for quote were very friendly and professional. I really appreciated his demeanor and my wife felt very comfortable with him. Unfortunately I didn't choose to go with John and I regret it.  I didn't place enough value on John's ability to communicate and pay attention to detail, and I didn't trust my gut.   As I'm learning, many general contractors may be able do good work but their communication and customer service may be lacking, which is just as important as doing good work.  John is an exception and is well rounded and will offer you the full package. I've seen his work, it is stunning and he executed it in a very timely fashion.

John worked tirelessly on our addition that was needed for a family member after a stroke. The craftsmanship was detail oriented and we are still enjoying it 3 years later. He also put in a pine ceiling for me at my cabin and it makes me happy every time I walk in the door. A beautiful job.
