Great place to stay. This KOA is very clean. We have stayed here several times on our way out west as well as on the way back home. They offer a few different discounts and the staff has always been more than accommodating.

sadly, we experienced the same thing as the reviewer from Dec 3, 2017. this was our first stay ever at a campground with an RV. when we told him that, the man behind the desk just started filling out his forms until I asked my husband if he had inquired about the price. the man quoted a price--somewhere in the mid $50's--but when I mentioned the aforementioned review, the price came down to the upper $40's, as he suddenly realized that we "really didn't need that 50 amp site after all..." he became "nicer" after I called him out about the price, but I couldn't help but feel that we were still getting ripped off, especially since there must have been all of 5 units in the park. perhaps that's what they do when business is slow, but it seems unethical to me. he offered to sell us a KOA membership as well--is there a commission?---but he did give us the KOA directory. He also told us he was."upgrading" us to a.nicer lot with a concrete patio, but since it was almost dark and cold, we didn't need it. A different gentleman then escorted us to our campsite. The "free" wifi is not secure, even with the password that we had to wait hours to get because the owners went to dinner first and were to text it to us upon their return (why not just tell us over the phone?). I will say that the shower area was nice and clean and warm, but the hot water was more like a sprinkle than a shower. the dog area was full of leaves and I agree with a previous reviewer who noticed there were gaps under the fence, especially near the gate, that our smaller dog could have squeezed under--not safe, nor was there any peace of mind that she wouldn't try. nonetheless, we had water and electric and a safe place to sleep. I'm just not sure what our expectations should be since this was our first time at a KOA.

We stayed here for a year, free cable, internet, and shower house. Friendly staff, good location, clear hours of operation. We would stay here again. Thank you KOA Joplin, we enjoyed our stay.

Stopped by on our way to Oklahoma City and decided to stay an extra night. Staff was very friendly and the camp ground is clean and peaceful. It is now in our book of places to recommend and to return to. Thanks KOA Chef Gene
