This place had nice promises but Dr.Matthews staff is extremely rude except for the PA and lab tech. Center manager I have observed My past visits and she has not been a great help to the front desk person. I have noticed her being in the back. Lines are ridiculous and the person up front is not so polite. She is more concerned about her lipstick or her cell phone. Lobby is extremely filthy and the bathrooms are always out of order. The medical assistants weren’t so bad until they got behind then they became very rude. He needs to fire them all and replace them with people who has patience and a sense of humor. Pictures on their Facebook page and their post truly deceived me. Will be finding a new doctor!!

Dr. Mathews is a wonderful endocrinologist. He spent a lot of time with me and completely explained my condition, why I feel the way I do, and recommended new medications that seem to be making a huge difference in my life. I could not recommend any one else. For that last reviewer, remember that you are seeing the doctor. I work in the health care field, and I know how difficult it is to get good help. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water, as my dear Mom used to say.

Can't believe this doctor and his office have such a high rating. The office messed up my appointment EVERY time even though it was confirmed the night before. The doctor barely spent time with me, then last couple times send a uncaring, incompent young assistant. She would neglect to call in or write out prescription. Then they sometimes just write out prescription for just 1 month to force you to keep having blood work and come back. Spent over $300 each time for blood work and visit. The doctor just cares about the money not the patient. The only good person in that office was this wonderful nurse who took blood and was doctor's assistant. She was an older lady who is very professional and kind.

I have had thyroid disease for 40 years and I know when my meds or something is not right. I saw Dr. Matthews a few months ago, he did further testing and found the problem, and treated it. He spent thorough time with me and really listened. I feel so much better.

Had my first Endocrinology visit here after moving back to the Charleston area and I could not have been more pleased with the staff, wait time, efficiency, patient care, etc. Great place for type 1 diabetics to go and see a well-seasoned medical group!
