We aim to provide guests with a farm-to-table experience, working in cooperation with local farmers and utilizing the amazing products that the Shenandoah Valley has to offer.
Joshua Wilton House is also a bed & breakfast and offers guests an oasis of quiet charm and gracious living in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. In an elegantly restored Victorian home, Joshua Wilton House occupies a corner in the historic “Old Town” district of Harrisonburg, Virginia.

My experience with Joshua Wilton House was fantastic before I even stepped in the building. I made reservations the week prior, and the day before I was called not only to confirm but also to check to see if me or my wife had any allergy or were celebrating anything special. Once we arrived, the server was attentive, our menu explained quite well, and our food arrived as we ordered and positively delicious. Could not have asked for a more wonderful evening.

My first impression, in a word... "SPLENDOR!" This beautiful, historic bed & breakfast/restaurant, set in the historic district of Harrisonburg, offers a gorgeous, premier location for private dining, special events and overnight accommodations. Riddled with historic beauties, such as stained glass and ornamental pieces, it literally took my breath away! My daughter will be having her rehearsal dinner here the night before her wedding. The overnight rooms upstairs are stunning! True to the era. Don't miss out, this place is a must-see!

My best friend and I had a formal tea at the Joshua Wilton House. I had a lovely spot in the corner by the window. The sun was streaming in, Christmas music drifted through the air and the lighting was soft and relaxed. The servers were friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the different teas. We were served finger foods on an elegant three tier server. The bottom tray had 4 different sandwiches, the middle had desserts and two scones topped it off. We were also given clotted cream, and two sweet spreads to top the scones. We never felt rushed and the servers were more than willing to bring whatever we asked to make our experience perfect. I highly recommend the Joshua Wilton House experience!

Delicious flavors that let you experience the food accentuated with spices and herbs, not overpower your senses. Both the duck and the rockfish were tasteful, flavorful, cooked to perfection, and paired well with seasonal vegetables.

Bar/lounge out of signature drink ingredients. Drinks and food outrageously expensive. No ordering from menu, despite assurances that we could. Food just barely average. Pretty surroundings. Would never return.
