I arrived at this store this afternoon determined to buy at least two pair of shoes. Thirty minutes later with three pair of shoes, and a pack of shocks on the checkout counter, I stormed out. I have visited this store many times before and never had an experience like this one. The associates there were eager to make a sale as usual, I know the deal so I don't mind. This one associate in particular though decided to put extra merchandise in my pile of stuff, and was extremely offended when I didn't want to purchase the things he had picked out. He began trying to insult my intelligence and make a scene. I politely declined several times, even as another associate gave me another speech about the product I clearly didn't want. I continued shopping for my pair of socks when he followed me and picked out two packs of 5 pairs of socks for me to buy and put those with my things at the checkout. I told him I really did not want the socks he picked because I didn't like them. This is when he really started grilling me about exactly why didn't I like them, and where else did I plan on getting socks besides Journeys. I remained calm and polite through the whole situation, even when he got loud for the whole store to hear and when he mumbled under his breath. I finally had taken enough of the harassment and walked out. I feel bad for the other associate who was helping me, but I don't feel bad about keeping my money.
