I have asked Dr. Karaban three times to acknowledge reading my concerns. Despite my effort to word them tactfully in a respectable manner, I am surprised he has chosen not to respond. It is hard not to feel ignored and that they want me to fade away under the carpet. Here are the concerns I asked him to read and respond to . I felt very disappointed with their scheduling process and decided to find a different dermatologist. Their answering machine message reminds patients that they will be charged if they miss an appointment, but they called me 15 minutes before my first appointment to ask me to reschedule and then 30 minutes before this second rescheduled appointment a few weeks later to ask me to come an hour later which I couldn't without missing a personal appointment I had made thinking I would have plenty of time to do both if we went according to the original time. So for a third time I asked to reschedule and the woman reminded me to always be prepared for the possibility to wait as long as an hour leaving me to wonder how many more times do I have to go through this before I see the doctor. I know stuff happens and I love being the flexible person that lends a hand, but I thought this was going beyond that when in fact I initially made this first appointment one month ago. I am flexible and a good Joe, but I too am busy and have other people in my life depending on me to meet appointments that depend on this office at some point being able to see me when they ask me to come in.

It's the administrative staff that has this 1 star rating, not Dr. Karaban, but he, unfortunately, has to suffer. The typist is the bad egg. She's robotic, wouldn't do as I asked her to do regarding an administrative task about the printed bill. Asked her to change "cosmetic consultation" to "medical consutation." I suspect she does not know how to do this, but she refused impolitely. (I am an elderly woman, probably the age of her grandmother. I doubt if she would talk to her grandmother as she talked at me...or maybe she would having been badly raised.) Had she told me she didn't know how to do this, I would have accepted her deficiency. Apparently, she has annoyed other patients, for the receptionist chimed in to help her. (Does it matter that the receptionist called my request "Fraud?" No, it's just an employee trying to help another employee in trouble, again, with a patient. It probably works, this 2-teaming, otherwise it wouldn't have happened. Side note: It's not fraud; rather, it's more general than cosmetic consultation. I called this to her attention and she stopped talking, but didn't apologize.) Did I get what I wanted? Nope. Was I angry to hear laughing as I exited? Yep and I turned and told them I would yelp them all over the universe. And so, that's my story. It's not a good story. And I'm going to tell my story all over the universe.
