When I was apartment searching, I was told not to go through Katz, but saw this apartment I had to see. I called Adam and he showed me the apartment I wanted to see but based on our conversation, he knew there was another one that I’d like better. It wasn’t done being remodeled, but I fell in love with it. I was skeptical about signing a lease without seeing it finished and told him all of my bad feelings about doing that. He assured me that I would love it and he would make sure I was happy. I still wasn’t sure so I called him again a couple days later and had to talk it through with him again. He again assured me that everything would be fine. So I signed. Ahhhhh! I didn’t see the finished apartment until the day I moved in and I couldn’t be happier with what they did with the place! All the things they promised were 10x better than I expected!!! Matt, the building manager had been so great as well. He answers all my questions in a timely matter and sent my maintenance requests right away. Even though signing a lease before I saw the place was the scariest thing I’ve ever done (yeah, guess I’m lame haha), I am happy to say I am extremely happy with my experience so far:) thanks Adam and Matt!

This companies workers stole several things from my apartment even though I always paid my rent on time.  They turned my heat off in winter time and my apartment was dangerously cold.  I complained to management and they just ignored me.  This is just a big crappy monopoly who can get away with treating people poorly because they are a big company.  However, they are not as bad as some of the sketchy and dangerous criminal Caucasian laborers working at shoreline real estate but they are still pretty bad.

I've lived with Katz Properties for a year and a half now, and have never had any issues at all. The staff members are very nice on the phone when I've called with questions, and are quick to respond to emails. My sink was leaking at one point, and they sent someone to look at it the very same day.

I would put a 0 stars if I could! These people are crooks!! I won't rent from them even if it were free!!!

I rented from Katz Properties for almost 4 years and when I tried to sublease my unit because I had a job offer out of state, they kept stealing my potential sublets each time they came to fill out the application! After I finally found a solid sublet after promising to pay first month AND part of their rent for the remainder of the lease, I put it in writing and sent it to Katz Properties! As promised, I paid the first month's rent and sent the sublet a check to cover the % rent promised for the remainder of the lease.

Fast forward 2 months later, Katz Properties is going after my sublet for first month's rent and James, from the office was telling my sublet that I pulled a fast one on him and they have a record of me calling the office asking for the first month rent that I paid be sent back to me! The sublet asked me about it and I called right away to speak to James and I was told he had just left (really James?!). I was transferred to Jennifer Lorbiecki who was very very rude to me. When I asked her where the record was of me calling the office to asked for the first month's rent check be returned, she lied that their other employee, Max has the record and he is no longer with the company! 

I have never even spoken to a male at the office or much more call to request a check sent out to me or a payment cancelled!!

These crooks are trying to double dip in our pockets and not caring whose reputation they taint as they are doing it.

I do NOT appreciate them making me out to be a liar. I do NOT appreciate the way that I have been treated and I do NOT appreciate the thievery!

If you see Katz Properties, *RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN*!

I was happy to have the new detector installed and have always been happy with all the other service calls I've needed.
