I was given false information over the phone in regards to how to correct information from a hospital form for a birth certificate.  The hospital listed the father's birthplace as Washington not Washington DC.  The process for correcting errors on the hospital form is actually pretty rigorous!  I was lied to on the phone and now I have to resubmit the application and pay the fee twice for a new birth certificate because of MISINFORMATION from an employee from the office that does birth certificates.  Their mistake, yet I pay more?  Make sure you have all the right information before sending in your application!

Fast. As long as you know your info and fill out the form correctly, it takes like 5 mins.

Long lines, best to go a hour before they close. Especially if it's for something easy like a copy of a record. Parking sucks.

They gave me false information over the phone regarding my daughters birth certificate. They do this so you can pay extra money to have it corrected. This is ridiculous
