The live entertainment was amazing! "Amazing Grace" she song so many great Oldie hits They honored our reservation and we were seated quickly. The service was fabulous and food was hot and fantastic and came out quickly considering they were packed! Our server was great! Definitely will return again soon!
Went here for brunch on a rainy Saturday. Place was packed with a wait so we were seated at the bar, which had the advantage of being near the self serve buffet line. We’ve been to their sister location many times and, in both locations, the food quality is superb! The bartender/server was friendly and attentive. Everyone else, including hostess, omelette maker, cashier and others were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Make sure to ask about the waffles they make fresh in the kitchen, including sweet potato and red velvet…yum!!Minus one star as the decor could use a little refresh and the buffet selection was not as extensive as expected. The price was a little on the higher side but did include tax and gratuity.
I had a exciting time at Kelsey's. I had to wait in line to get but it was worth it. The atmosphere was energetic. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and tasty. I order the corn bread Basket which was very good. I also order the smothered Turkey chops with onions. My sides was potato salad and candied yams. Every thing was very good.
Excellent food! Soul food at it's best! Perfect balance of seasoned collard greens & green beans...candied yams melts perfect sweetness! We had a great server! The summer is hot so the inside temp could have been adjusted & a bit of wait before entering! Priced right! Nice ambiance & culturally rich! Wheelchair accessibility: Observed elderly accommodated early! Tables would allow for wheel chairs or other assistance. Entrance is wheel chair accessible.
Kelsey's never disappoints! Always delicious! We went on a Thursday evening and got in right before the line started forming around the block. My favorite is the fried chicken, mac n cheese and yams. Our server was fantastic! She made all of our requests happen. She was very kind. Always so good!
The food was delicious. Everything was fresh and the proportions are enough for two. The waffle was fluffy and you could taste the vanilla. The chicken was crispy but bland, however went well with the waffle. The sweet tea is delicious but beware it is considered a special drink and you are not allowed refills. We waited in line for over an hour. We were greeted several times by the derelicts of the city while waiting. Overall the food is good.
We visited Kelsey's on a getaway to Atlantic City. The food was amazing and we will be returning. Service was slightly slow and unfortunately the night we were there they ran out of shrimp. Which is pretty much what I order everywhere I go however the crab cakes and crab macaroni and cheese and corn bread and everything else made up for the missing shrimp. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful when choosing sides from the menu. This place has a great atmosphere and great service. Side note if you're out of town and want to make a reservation per the hostess all reservations must be made the day before. We visited on a Wednesday and had no trouble getting in no long wait. Parking: There is a small parking lot and there's parking along the street.
Kelsey’s never disappoints! We enjoyed a yummy brunch with endless fresh choices including made to order omelettes waffles and fish. The staff was friendly and engaging, and the music was enjoyable. The environment was festive and clean. The food was awesome!
Atmosphere Food and Service was A1! Me and my husband went Sunday afternoon about 10 minutes before they opened and it was already a line. The line moved fast and we were seated. Server was a little slow bringing our meals and drinks out but I notice there were only 2-3 servers. So understandable. My husband order the bang bang shrimp which was okish. Shrimps were small and tasted like the shell was still on the shrimp. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was SO MAD I couldn't eat it all because I got full They were sooo good!!! Grits was creamy the flavors all blended well and it came with four huge shrimps and two small circle sliced sausages. At first I was going to complain about the lack of sausages but when i ate one I understood why there were only two. Them things are SPICY! One small bite cleared my throat, headache, impure thoughts and if I had covid im sure it would've cleared that too! So I broke it up and mixed it together in the grits ahmazing! The sauce they used with it had me drooling! I also had the sweet potato cheesecake OHMY GOD that was definitely " just take my money" good! The slice I had was creamy rich and the flavors from both cheesecake and sweet potato were indescribable good! I'm mad I didn't get some to go. I also had the greens and sweet potatoes. Greens were really good. Sweet potatoes were waaay.. too sweet. I'm somone that loves yams with brown and white sugar with marshmallows and this was too sweet for me. I think the syrup that was added was probably what caused the imbalance. But I also had a fishbowl drink and that was sooo sooo soooo good! Definitely a favorite place! Make sure you MAKE A RESERVATION DAYS IN ADVANCE. So worth it!
Absolutely a must try. My food was delicious. Beef ribs was so big I ate from them for 3 days. Mac n cheese & cabbage was good too. Drinks was pricey $20.00 a drink but it was good, not that strong. Clams was delicious and bang bang shrimp was ok. The live band was awesome. Our server was very attentive and on point, delight. Definitely will be returning.
