This past week, I encountered the finest in Kenner , officers of its police department. Family members who live there were the victims of a violent offense. The participating officers and Det. Nick Engler, were more than professional and courteous. They had a zeal in their eyes to discover the facts of the event and to conduct themselves as trained professionals. I am at a loss of words to express my recognition and appreciation for these POST certified servants who give of themselves to see justice implemented. While I do not live in Kenner, I am proud as a former law enforcement officer to see the next generation of police officers hone their skills under the flag of Chief Michael Glaser. My deepest appreciation to Lt. Brian McGregor, Det. Peter Folse, Officer John Terranova, to another young officer who was on site with brown wavy hair, and to the staff and employees of KPD. Det. Nick Engler, was our primary contact and a gentleman and scholar. It is clear to me, it is evident, that the department's chief is a LEADER. Police officers mimic the ways of each of their superiors, as I watched Lt. McGregor handle the scene and make decisions, I correctly surmised that they were all doing so in not only in honor of the their sworn duties, but because Chief Glaser is a model of excellence himself. My family and i will be praying for the next 5 days for the families of each KPD member. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man, availeth much. James 5:16 PML, Jr.

We just moved into the state and I've been pleasantly surprised by the Kenner officers. They've been approachable and helpful. When my movers were sitting in the middle of the road waiting to deliver, an officer came by and parked behind them with the lights on to make sure no one hit them. I've seen them do the same with broken down vehicles. It's refreshing to see officers helping people more than pulling them over.
