one time they pulled over for a plate light being out at noon... my plate light wasn't out. Today i got an outlandish speeding ticket. ive had a few speeding tickets before but this one was so extreme i felt the need to go talk to the supervisor. I told him that i felt this was outlandish and could be due to racism he immediately started laughing, lost sight of the reason i went it and started laughing and saying how police being racist was a myth and he doesn't know any instances of that ever happened. i had to politely remind him that i was there for a "Fake" speeding ticket and i just felt that may have been one of the many reasons that i could have been pulled over. he then proceeded to tell me that there should be video footage of the stop. i said ok can we watch it?... they he conveniently told me there was no footage. Lmao smh racist police if your black be prepared to get pulled over and charged with something outlandish. If you politely ask them about it be prepared to get laughed at.

I bet no matter what I complained, they will get the same life, same salary, same spirit. So nothing I could elaborate to make things better for the future person receiving service from them.

This place was abysmal and unprofessional. The officers may have good or bad ones. But why I got the wrong one.

If I could give this department zero Stars I would. They are a disgrace to all cops who do their job right. I lived with my father who has served in the police force for over 25 years and what these cops do every day in uniform they should be ashamed of themselves for. They escalate situations just so they can take someone to jail because they are bored at night. They pulled me over one day simple because I switched lanes to avoid a car that was turning. They need to fire the chief fire the whole staff and start over.

This Police department is the biggest joke I have ever came across. I get pulled over for a busted out tail light that when I was in a car accident another agency cop told me my car was okay to drive and didn't tell me anything was illegal with the vehicle. Now all of a sudden its a HUGE CONCERN. I've been going through hell suing this company that has been trying to fight to pay me so I can get my car fixed because I don't have thousands of dollars to get fixed. Nor does the average person have thousands of dollars to fix. Officer Fuller watched my car for a full week after pulling me over the first time telling me about it and I was fully aware. But when you work have 2 kids and trying to go to court as a single parent its not easy. They will harass you and will threaten you with writing you a ticket over the pettiest things. I am just amused how they have time to sit in my neighborhood all day and not patrol the area! I will be calling the chief and speaking with him about this. Obliviously not every cop in every agency is fully aware of the law and I think there is some reeducation that is needed for every agency (including kent) that has not pulled me over for this light if it is such an issue! I could not believe that I have gotten pulled over for something so petty. Kent needs something else to do other than harass young black citizens that have no intention of making kent a bad place. Its sad to say but me being a black young respected women I've seen them harass other black individuals and even come to my house arrest my boyfriend and lie and say they got my consent to search which never happened. Til this day when they see my boyfriend they speak to him just to be in his business probably to see what else they can arrest him for. But any who if you talk to any black citizen in Kent they are not lying some cops of KPD are racist! if they could get 0 stars they would get it from me!
