Story

A rich history…a limitless future. Established in 1959 by the late sportsman and skier Ken Vermeulen, Kenver Ltd. is a family owned shopping experience for urban dwellers and rural residents who demand the best in merchandise and service. Housed in a 1731 structure originally built as a stagecoach stop between Hartford, Albany, New York City and Pittsfield, the building was then known as the Egremont Tavern and served weary travelers with care. It maintains its historic ambiance with fireplaces and antiques throughout.

In 2012, Kenver Ltd. was named “Best of New England” in the Ski, Snowboard and Cross-Country Shop Awards presented by New England Winter Sports Representatives. Inc. (NEWSR). Kenver Ltd. was singled out in recognition of outstanding retail support, growth and innovation in the New England marketplace. It was the second time Kenver has been honored with this award.
