The manager was nice but what happened was a joke. First, the place was basically empty with a bunch of employees. The Hostess (Stefanny) sat us down and never notified anyone she sat us down. She wiped down the table with a smelly/disgusting rag and left the table smelling bad. She proceeded to talk to all of the employees and have zero attention for anything and we never got anyone to get to our table. The manager tried to correct the problem but after 30 minutes we weren’t going to waste more time. Ended up going to Lupe Tortilla and had the opposite experience there. I don’t know what’s going on at this Kerbey but I will only ever go to the William Cannon or Lamar locations. What a joke, don’t keep employees around that don’t pay attention especially on a slow night. Happened 9/27/17.

I come here regularly and on my most recent trip I brought two friends from out of town. One enjoys seeking out healthy food options while the other has an unwavering preference only for more traditional foods. While this often results in a difficult choice when eating out, at Kerby Lane Cafe they both found meals that they very much enjoyed and that catered to each of their preferences. With several locations in the Austin area it's a must try when you're looking for a casual meal.

Never really had a fantastic meal, service is always good. Probably the worst home fries in Austin.

We’ve eaten here a handful of times. The staff is nice and we’ve never had a wait but even with only a few patrons they always sit us beside other people. Not a big deal for us but trying to keep our young kids occupied so they don’t disturb someone sitting in the next booth is taxing.
