I was in and out in 3 minutes with my birth certificate. I arrived at 4:45pm and no one was in waiting room. There was ample space and it was clean. Service was fast, efficient, and pleasant. Good job King County!

Popped in to get a birth certificate and they were quick and friendly. Office was easy to find. The whole process was a lot less painful than I was expecting.

Copies of birth and death certificates can be purchased from the lobby of King County Vital Statistics which is located in the King County Medical Examiners office on the 2nd floor of the 908 Jefferson building. The fee is 20.00 for copies birth and death certificates. Fill out the form(s), put it in the tray and wait to be called. The people who work here are incredibly cool, they somehow remain polite and upbeat through wave after wave of customers. To start the process you must first fill out the request form pertaining to the type of certificate you want, these are available on the wall by the counter. Complete the form and place in the tray on the counter and the take a seat, they will call out your name when the copy is ready or if they have a question for you. They had my certificate ready in about 7 minutes 🙂. Cash, check and money orders are accepted, they DO NOT accept credit or debit cards. Se pueden comprar copias de los certificados de nacimiento y defunción en el lobby de King County Vital Statistics ubicado en la oficina de Examinadores Médicos del Condado de King en el segundo piso del edificio 908 Jefferson. La tarifa es de 20.00 para copias de certificados de nacimiento y defunción. Complete los formularios, colóquelos en la bandeja y espere que los llame.
