Elegant, lovely, and very comfortable place. Location is close enough to the main drag, but far enough to avoid the noise. Small things add the the flair of the place - which is a good thing. Would - and most definitely will - stay here again and again. Absolute best in Fredricksburg.

I was hesitant to stay here because the pillows and bedding looked dated in the photos. However, Kingwood Suites was absolutely amazing. At first it might seem odd because the entrance is in the back and you immediately go up stairs. Then you go down a hall with all the suites and at the end is a lovely big screen TV and fireplace for visitors. There is also a big kitchen with microwave and snack/beverage machine. Everything is very clean. Bedding, towels, and pillows smell very nice. The bathroom and robes were clean and the complimentry items were very nice: soaps, lotions, make up wipes, kcup coffees, bottled waters, Kleenex/paper towels, creamers, sugars, and pillow mints. You can tell this place is well taken care of by very thoughtful owners. The cabinets and interior decor are lovely. It's a quiet retreat and we loved that it was so dark (only one window in our room) we got such good sleep. Because it's so peaceful and private, it makes the perfect romantic getaway to spend time with your significant other. They even offer romantic packages like massages, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. There is a lot of info about the local area provided in the room and HVAC with your own thermostat. It's perfect location makes it walking distance to Main St. and HEB. If you want to have a nice romantic evening in (like we did when it rained), go to HEB and get wine, cheese, crackers, and the works! Did I mention it's private? Barely any noise and no intrusive maids (unless you request a maid service). We haven't been bothered by a soul. It's so peaceful. We will definitely be back many more times in the future. If you enjoy more bed than you do breakfast, it's the perfect place. ;)

The beds were comfortable and the room was nicely appointed. The neighborhood was quiet even given that the rooms are over a cabinetry shop. No view to speak of from the single window but that's not why we were there, however that also meant the room stayed dark into the morning and we could sleep in to our heart's content.
