Kingyo Izakaya is a located on Denman St., one of the busiest street downtown Vancouver. It’s also one of the top Japanese Restaurant in Vancouver. If you come to Vancouver, you should definitely go to this restaurant.

I came to this place with my friends few times with my friends. This restaurant was always super busy and had super big line up. So, I strongly suggest people that don’t come to this place right on the lunch and dinner time. It’s great service and food in this restaurant. The servers were very nice, quick and friendly. The food prices were a little bit expensive, but they were very reasonable. The quality and taste of the food were great. High recommend to everyone.

We booked for 7 people, that was enough place around the table. Staff was super acknowledged and welcomed. Restroom clean and pretty big. I like how the restaurant is  design, there are all in one style, from bottle for sake,  plates, tables and how they serve the dishes. Food is good, just why I gave them 4 stars it's mayo in such a perfectly cooked shrimps...mayo killed the taste. Most likely, I would recommend this place for small groups or romantic dinner.

One of my favorite places to hang out. I am a fan of their hamachi collar, the tan-tan noodles, and whatever fresh specials. Try the cocktails! Waitstaff are especially friendly and are diligent.

Lines do form up super fast, so good early or sit at the bar.

Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in Vancouver. Beautiful Japanese style, great sake menu, and the omakaze is second to none. Forget the more famous places in town and eat here instead.
