Krank It Up is a local mom and pop shop founded in the early 90s by owners Deb & Fawz. Starting relatively small, their motto was simple; focus on your customers, quality, and service. Over the years they expanded the business into what we know and love today. With the original family still running the joint, Krank It Up is located at 185 Mystic Ave, Medford, MA 02155.

I've been here twice and each time they provided great customer service to me. Very courteous and honest people. Highly recommend them!

What a joke. I called this place earlier in the week to get a price for an install. (Component in front w/4 channel, cox in rear, and single sub with mono block) 
The on the phone he said I absolutely have to come in to get a price estimate. I was insistent about a general price range give/take and again he stated he needed to see my car to see what I had and how it would fit. 
Fast forward to the weekend I bring the car in. The place and the bays were empty on Saturday. I explain again what I what done. I tell him I already have my own equipment and he ask why and where I brought from. I said a combo of best buy, sonic electronics and Amazon. The face he made was like ugh. I paid no attention to it. 

Mind you this guy never came out to look at my car or (cheap) audio equipment as he said was an absolute must via phone. 

Then he has the nerve to say $975 for the install. It's because it will take 3 days to install ..... REALLY Component in front w/4 channel, cox in rear, and single sub with mono block) Dude this is a 3-4 hour at best. It's not like I'm getting a custom install, fabrication or competition equip installed. I repeated the price back to him and even he was having a hard time justifying it.

I get it, they are a custom install mom & pop shop. But to over charge that much and lie and say its a 3 day job come on. If it was a 3 day job for a simple install they would be out of business. Maybe they just didn't want to do my cheap equip install. I don't know. 

NEWS FLASH THE INTERNET IS A GREAT RESEARCH TOOL. For equip and install prices. 

VERY SHADY and DECEPTIVE and they don't hide it. 
If you do go here get a couple of prices quotes FRIST.

The guys at Krank it Up are very professional and easy to work with. They took the time to explain all of the different options available to me and then they gave my wife and I a nice training on how to use the system once it was installed. Considering you can pay the same price and get it installed at Krank it Up or Best Buy I don't understand why you wouldn't choose Krank it Up.
