Great place! Everyone was very friendly and so helpful. We bought some bikes for the kids and they helped us fit the bikes and helmets. They even measured the kids heads for the helmets. We took quite a bit of time but they didn't seem to mind. Also prices were more than fair for the bikes and accessories we bought. They have a ton of outdoor equipment for every outdoor enthusiast! Very happy with my purchase, I will shop here again.

I'm super particular about fit, style, function, etc. This small, locally owned business is a gem! They have EXCELLENT value in gear, technology, and service! Regardless of the season, I have made numerous "outdoor fun" purchases from KMS for over a decade and have yet to be disappointed. The $$ is justified for the quality of the products offered!

Me and my friends rented 2 sand boards for the Great Sand Dunes and when we got there we found that one was defective and you couldn't strap your feet in. We came back an hour later to return them and they wouldn't give us a refund on the broken board so we paid full price for a board that wasn't even usable

It all started with a phone call: "Hi - I have an emergency and I really need you help." What happened next blew me away and compelled me to write this review. Quick background: The 2017 Ride the Rockies bike tour started in Alamosa. I flew in from Virginia to do the ride and when I opened my bike box at 4:50 p.m. on a Saturday evening (the evening before the ride started), I discovered that one of my cycling shoes were lost in a TSA inspection. I had done over 2,000 miles of training for this 450-mile ride and without cycling shoes, I couldn't ride. I was panicked and distressed. Erick, the owner, answered the phone. I told him my story and asked when he closed. He said, "It doesn't matter, we will get this worked out no matter how long it takes." He said that he only had one pair and if they didn't fit, I could try his personal cycling shoes to borrow for this week-long trip. Not having a car, I was unable to drive there so he drove them to me. The new pair he had was okay, but a little tight on the sides. He suggested that he could stretch them back at the store but I didn't want to inconvenience him any further. He said, "You are about to do a huge ride and your feet could very easily swell - let me drive you back to my shop and have me stretch them for you." After a few tries, they were just right. Moreover, there were some fairly complex fitting issues that requires millimeter precision in placing the cleats and shims on the bottom. I don't want to get into the details but my bike fitter back home who is one of the top fitters in the Virginia/Maryland/DC region was highly impressed with his approach and how he adjusted them. I offered Erick a tip for his help but he refused. Wanting to do something to help compensate him for all of his help, I suggested maybe I could buy a new pair of SuperFeet insoles since my last shoes had them. He said that the new shoes I purchased already have cambered insoles and would be unnecessary. This would be incredible if I were a resident of Alamosa. The fact that I live in Virginia and there is no chance I could provide repeat business speaks volumes about Erick's character as a person, and how he runs his business. To people reading this review - buying a bike requires trust that the bike shop isn't going to sell you more than you really need. I have absolute confidence that Kristi Mountain Sports services their customers with the utmost excellence, integrity, and and expertise. I give them my very highest recommendation. Thank you Erick!!!

These guys are great we love having this quality of Business in The San Luis Valley. They know their business and the owners are cool to talk to and very helpful. The prices are very justified for the quality of store and staff. Always a great and relevant selection of products for every occasion. Thanks guys I look forward to doing business with you for years to come, keep up the good work and thanks for selling quality products.
