Words cannot describe the utter bliss of Sushi 🍣 perfection. Do not be strayed away by any of these low reviews, I was satisfied on every level possible from the service being on point, to the most amazing chef's I've ever experienced. I would recommend this to any Sushi enthusiast! If you're feeling adventurous, tell the chef's what you like about Sushi and ask for a customized"surprise me" roll, you will not be disappointed.
 Best sushi I've ever had hands down, The bee's knees, item 9, next level, Sushi art! This is great!

Walked in for our son’s birthday dinner and were told we could sit anywhere. Then the hostess comes over and asks to move over because they have a party of 6 coming that they don’t want to split. So it’s ok for my family of 4 to split up but not a family of 6. Then my husband orders a sprite and sent it back because it didn’t taste right. The lady from the other party sent hers back 3 times for the same reason. The manager or owner is very rude and would not take the $ off for the drink. I’m not sure if we will return to the restaurant again. Also the tip on the receipt does not go to the hibachi chef it goes to the waiter. We had to run to the bank and get $ to make sure he chef received a tip.

Dark, pretty quiet on the left side and rowdy hibachi on the right side. Very good food, but a little pricey for SW Florida. I had hibachi (at the tables on the left side, very nice that you can do that!) and I will try the Japanese dishes next time.

First time ever we were told that we could not sit at the hibachi table because only one in party of two ordered from the table and the other ordered sushi. They said we needed a minimum of 2 orders from the table in order to sit there. OK so we moved to a booth on the other side. Ordered the same dishes. Husband had sushi, good as usual. I ordered scallops and shrimp from the hibachi menu. What I got was scallops and shrimp cooked in a wok. As well as the rice. It was a big disappointment. Everything was bland. Won't order hibachi from a booth again.

NOT VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN FRIENDLY 
My husband and I visited Kumo last night with a group for a birthday celebration. We were very disappointed to find out the vegetable hibachi was fried in lard and eggs. The only veggie appetizer they had seemed to be fried in the same thing. After we told the waiter we didn't want the soup that came with the meal because it had beef broth we were not offered anything else. Neither of us ate more than two bites of the food but they still charged us a $9.00 "sharing fee". Basically we paid over $50 for one drink, one meal and one appetizer; none of which we consumed or brought home with us. To top it all off we both ended up very ill afterwards. If you're on a plant based diet this place is not for you. If you have to, eat before you go and just order a drink from the bar.
