Do you want to go out to a fun post ski dinner, enjoy delicious food, be waited on by courteous staff, and feel like that over priced meal didn’t matter because you’re leaving satisfied?  Well then go to sweet basil and/or mountain standard. Those deliver!  La Bottega hopefully is under new management and has a new chef the next trip I take to Vail.  Could not be more displeased by the meal and even less impressed with the owner and his professionalism.  The only thing he did right was tell his aggressive bartender to “go to the back and shut up” when sharing our displeasure with our entire dining experience.

We came in for lunch. Our waiter (Jose) was amazing. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable. The food was great: fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and the meatball hoagie were all well seasoned and satisfying.

Being from the south jersey Philly area.... best cheese steak in Colorado. Even if you wanna do th $58 Waygu with black truffles it's worth it

My family and another family went here for dinner, and I was not blown away by the food. Their wine list was fantastic, and our Chianti was delicious. However, I ordered the Artichoke Penne and was disappointed by the execution of the meal. There were maybe 3 artichoke hearts in the pasta, the marinara sauce was bland and lacked any flavor and effectively tasted like straight tomatoes, and the plate as a whole was lukewarm at best. Fortunately, the strawberries with chilled zabayon was phenomenal and was a perfect dessert. I'm hoping it was just an off-night for the restaurant, but I just wasn't impressed.

The food wasnt all that good.  Minimal artichokes,  chicken & feta in the pasta.  The tomato sauce wasnt flavorful, just tomato taste.  It definitely was not something I would reorder.  There are certainty better restaurants in Vail, especially at the price points paid.
