The LA Fitness in Wyomissing is a great place to work out. The staff and management is excellent and everyone is so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend joining this gym no matter if you’re new to working out or experienced.

Ive tried this location with my team a couple times and i decided this might be the place for me!  BUT  when I decided to get my own membership because of a shift swing I was EXTREMELY disappointed. The way they try to force a membership on you is ridiculous. It's like they're trying to force it down your throat. I liked the gym I just wanted the free week trial and wanted to go over options since I have been a regular at other gyms and to keep me, they offered me deals. But Oh my goodness.. these people are relentless and to top it off the price for a typical membership is outrageous. For less money you can join the YMCA which has more then LA ... if I didn't feel so pressured to sign up right on the spot, I probably would have joined. Texts, emails, person to person .. I literally tore my free membership up and told everyone i know to follow me to another gym and anybody thinking of signing up here not to waste their time.

Love this place. Very accommodating and very  generous with trial memberships. Love all the equipment and amenities they have to offer. 10/10.

If I could give this gym zero stars I would. I'd like to start this review by saying my husband received a one week free pass. Of course they tried to convince you to sign up for membership and trading your pass would waive your enrollment fee. My husband stated that he wasn't sure if he was going to sign-up as this was his first day at the gym but that if he would sign up he would do it through our health insurance which also allows access to other gyms in the area. At that point the employee took away my husbands free week pass on the first day he went to the gym and told him that he wasn't able to use it since he was not going to be signing up directly through them. I don't understand what difference it would have made how he signed up and how the free week pass had anything to do with that. I will never be stepping foot inside another LA Fitness again. The customer service was appalling.

If you want a gym then this is not the place for you. This is a fitness center. It has a well maintained pool, classes and racquetball and basketball courts. The people using it are friendly for the most part, but will sit on a machine and use their phone. Something you don't see often at Golds. I have been there at different times of the day and there is always someone cleaning. Equipment seems to be maintained and fixed quickly, something I could not say about Golds. And this place is far above Planet Fitness.
