Have  been going to this gym since probably 2010 or earlier. Never had a situation like today BUT hopefully this allows someone in higher management to address the issue. 

Essentially a farther and daughter were using one side of the basketball court and 5v5 was being played (since it is the busy time 4-6). They were informed that court etiquette is to just watch for us coming down and then play when we are at the other end. Dad gets angry. Tells the manager "we told them to leave the gym". Instead of coming and asking the 25+ in the gym what happened (which includes other fathers and even people that have worked at LA), he decides to come in very angrily accusing us. Also threatening to end our membership or boot us from the gym... (Even though most of us have been at that gym longer than he has worked there) 

No management skills. We pay for the membership just like the father & daughter. Probably should have a sit down with someone who makes decisions and convey to him some crisis management skills.

The management at this gym have no idea what they are doing... I cancelled back in January both of my accounts and thought everything was fine. Until I came to notice they only cancelled 1 of my accounts and have been charging me since. They won't even give me a refund for the months we didn't even use the gym because of the staff telling me everything was cancelled. Would not recommend anyone getting a membership here.

Very rude and discouraging to my bf whonis trying to get in shape and loose weight. The personal trainer was very rude and unprofessional.

Beware of this gym and what they tell you they will do in relation to your contract!!!! This gym is a rip off!!!!  They misrepresented how I could cancel my personal training and now I will pay for training that I never received. I didn't receive a copy of the contract and was told I could cancel in three days.  I did cancel verbally within three days and was told by the trainer the contract was canceled.  He told me when I cancelled that there was another program coming out that would fit my needs better, and that he would review it with me once the details of the new program were available.  He is apparently no longer with the company as I have asked for him multiple times while this has been going on. Three months later, they are still charging my card $280 a month.  Now, there has been over a thousand dollars charged on my card and I am still trying to stop the fees from being billed to my card. Even with several calls to Operations Manager, Jacob, as well as my CC company calling him, he could care less to the point of being rude and unapologetic!!!  It will cost me more than $2,000.00 for two 25 min training sessions. Who can get anything out of 25 min when it takes 15min to even warm up!!! I took my training book which had a year and a half of my training with goals, gains and personal bests to the trainer so he would know my fitness level.  I asked for it and he told me he gave it to another trainer to look at as I was being passed to her for training to my dismay. He acknowledged that she was reviewing it. When I asked for her to return it, her response in the text message was she did not have it and would not keep her clients books.  She has apparently lost my training log. Who knows what it will take to get any satisfaction! They don't make it easy to cancel so that they can steal more money from you!!!!

I moved my membership to this location from Life Time Fitness due to convince of the location. I will be moving my membership back as soon as possible. Yes the cost is more but the people care!! The facilities are exponentially better!!

Stay away from this gym -  money rip off!!!!  They misrepresent the cancellation process and you end up paying for trainings you never get.   My boyfriend signed up for trainings and they didn't give him a copy of the contract.  He was told he could cancel in three days.  He did cancel verbally within three days and the trainer told him his trainings were cancelled, no problem.  That was not true.  Months later we see they are still charging his card $280 a month.  Now, over a thousand dollars later charged on his card and we are still trying to stop the money bleed of payments to them.  It will cost him almost $2,000 before we finally get this shut down and the only thing he got was two crappy training sessions the first two days; hence why he cancelled.   He had a detailed book of his trainings from the year before with his previous trainer out of state.  He gave it to his trainer to review, who lost it and then denied ever having it.  The membership services manager is rude, unapologetic, and completely unhelpful.  God know what it will take to get these memberships cancelled.  They don't make it easy to cancel so that they can steal more money from you.  As another example, they for some reason couldn't unlock the doors on a Sunday for hours.  Waiting outside another customer became frustrated and said something like "you can't fix stupid."  The staff response was "you better watch how you talk to the person who can cancel your membership!!"  Where is he when you need him.....I'll gladly have him cancel mine.  

The carpet is dirty and rolled, the machines are dirty, and the whole place smells.  

I would have given negative 5 stars if possible---you have to give at least one to post.
