Probably the best quiche I have ever had in my life! First time ordering a mushroom and spinach quiche and it was perfect. Soft quiche with the perfect crust. We also ordered desserts and safe to say the chocolate was my favorite. Soft and delectable that just melted in my mouth. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance with a bar. The seating is a bit close for comfort. A super fancy home store towards the end of the restaurant where the items are better to simply look and enjoy : Service was great and our server took very good care of us. Can't say the same about the front. Rather cold. But the food and ambiance made up for it. Highly recommend.
French restaurant located in the Soho district. The location is beautiful and meticulously maintained. The outdoor patio is very nice. I had lunch at this restaurant ordering several seafood dishes. The food is very good although I was expecting slightly larger portions. For the cost of the restaurant, in my opinion the service should be improved. The chocolate cake is excellent. I recommend the brunch than lunch or dinner!!!
I enjoyed my brunch here! Waiters were nice, prompt and friendly. They offered a range of seating options. Food was tasty, overall. A couple notes: 1. Reserve ahead of time 2. If you choose to seat indoors on a busy day, you'll have one hour to vacate your seat! 3. Vaccination cards required for entry into indoor seating not sure if the same applies to people who choose outdoor seating
One of the best dinners I’ve ever had. From the bread and butter to the fluke and short rib pasta, every bite of each dish was incredible. To top it off, our server, Haley, was kind, funny, and helpful. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy more of what La Mercerie has to offer.
Had a Friday dinner reservation at La Mercerie on our 3 day girls getaway to NYC and out of all the places we ate/had drinks this one was so far the best. Stunning interior, cozy and comfortable, very attentive and knowledgeable stuff. Appetizers and food were just excellent, I had pickled eggplant and it was out of this world delish! Drinks were very good too Awesome experience and definitely will be back if in area in the future!
Came here for brunch - this is a beautiful restaurant! Giving 4 stars for lack of vegan options. Not willing to make many substitutions either. I got the rice pudding pictured and the French salad; albeit expensive, very tasty. Service was very friendly. Great options for gluten free people! Everything served at the table is able to be purchased, you can shop in the restaurant.
The French bistro ambience is superb. The food portion is small, especially considering its price point in the Soho area. I’ve been here couple times throughout the years and that’s always the complaint from everyone I’ve been here with. Maybe you can justify it since the utensils and dinnerware they use are all pretty cool? They sell these in the back of the restaurant. Anyways, I’d still go back here to try their brunch menu.
Beautifully decorated space, service OK but not smooth initial reservation issues and table service barely present. The food was tasty, the classic French basics well executed but lacking a bit of excitement. I guess am lucky to live in France where we have/make these kind of dishes every day with ingredients straight from the market. But without the Soho vibe that does comes with a price tag.
Outstanding food and lovely ambiance. Everything we ordered was delicious! Especially the beef bourguignon. The meat just fell apart and the flavor was perfect. It was the best thing we got. The potatoes, the chicken… not enough good things to say!
The ambience is very nice. I did not like the paper tablecloth though. Service is friendly but quite stiff. Food is simply made, nothing special for an European taste. The cheese plate should have at least another slice of cheese. I found 3 slices very meagre. Overall, I would not recommend if you are an European tourist in New York.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
