Le Pain Quotidien
"We're a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means "the daily bread" in French, and like our name suggests, we're bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That's why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you'll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu."

Irina is my favorite server, but every server is awesome. My favorite dish is the warm grain bowl. The service is by far the best part of the experience, which says a lot because the food is fantastic.Food: 5/5
great LPQ! there's a lack of staff but the people who do work here were so nice, attentive, and the food came quickly! everything was absolutely delicious, i especially recommend the all of the soups, the ancient grain bowl, and the cauliflower and cheddar frittata! it was the perfect place to have a good meal with family : Vegetarian options: lots of vegetarian and vegan options! they also accommodate Kid-friendliness: definitely kid-friendly! it's a little on the quieter side though, so don't bring loud children
A great place to get a healthy breakfast. I recommend the bowl. Delicious. Thank you Rachid for your great service and welcoming smile.Food: 5/5
Honestly, it’s overpriced, but the food is good so I understand. What I don’t understand is why the workers here are so rude. Average breakfast is $20+ I average about $30 an order AND I ORDER MAYBE 2x a day and you WOULD THINK that they would MAYBE take that into consideration when talking to you or treating you in a certain matter. Today I asked to get a plate for a pastry trying to be nice and not waste a box and they really made a big deal out of it. When has washing One plate become such a crime? Honestly very tedious, but maybe this is my golden opportunity to stop valuing the food more than the customer service. Good riddance.
Location and atmosphere is perfect for work or a nice sit down with a friend or family. It’s Big and open. also good for food to go. I was surprised I liked their quiche.Food: 4/5
The mushroom quiche was very tasty and the staff were friendly. We recommend this place. Nonetheless, the mini carrot cake and the mini banana chocolate cake we ordered were extremely extremely small not worth the 3$ each.
Had the avocado toast. It’s good. The seasoning is a little bit different in that they use cumin which pairs well with avocado. It looks a bit plain and unexciting compared to how others do avocado toast. They like to spread a thin layer of avocado spread and then top with sliced avocado. It’s makes for a less messy eating. If you’re looking for something light but filling I recommend the avocado toast.
Dined here for the first time which originally was going to be a quick coffee run. We were greeted and we took the menu at the counter. We assumed it was one for just coffee drinks but as we kept looking at the menu we came across some good food choices. We decided to order the coffees as they were “to go” because it would allow us to take the coffee when we were done eating. Then we were asked if we were looking to dine in because there was a different menu. Honestly the only difference I saw was some prices were slightly more on the dine in menu. We grabbed our coffees and told them that we will look over the menu and if it were okay to sit out to dine in. We were told yes. It was too cold outside so we decided to come in. We were already waiting for 10 mins outside. We come inside and ask if it’s okay to just sit inside so we can dine in and we were told yes. We wait another 15-20 mins. At this point a family comes in after us and the waiter is taking care of them. I approached one of the waiters and asked if there was only one employee serving everyone. I was told no and that they thought we were just sitting enjoying our coffee. If you asked us at the very beginning if we were dining in why would you assume we were just having coffee? We finally get to order our food which was good but it wasn’t communicated that there was no whip cream that day. The skillet eggs with bacon I expected to have actual slices of bacon not pieces. You’re paying $15 almost for two eggs and maybe one slice of bacon that’s cut into pieces. I enjoyed it but it wasn’t what I expected. The lack of communication and misunderstanding was terrible. It took away from a nice early morning breakfast. I recommend this place if you would like to grab and go. It could just be the location but the nicest, friendliest person that was efficient was the lady making our coffees.
This is a true frech restaurant in NYC. The waiters spoke fresh the food was delicious. Thank you for having us on our stop to Africa.
Excellent assortment of breads. The soup of the day was minestrone and it was really good. Loads of space- we visited this place on Saturday at about 12 pm and there was a lot of free tables. There is a wide range of jams, chocolate spreads, olive oils and other toppings. I expected more from the cinnamon croissant, but other than that everything was good. Friendly staff. You can see that the food is made out of good quality products. Good food stop in lower Manhattan.
