It's 22 miles off the highway, feels like you're driving forever if you're stopping late at night. The rooms are nice, clean, and don't smell. The sheets and towels were clean, as well as the provided rubber mat in the shower. They provide the normal soap and shampoo in the room and they give you two complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. The breakfast that's provided is good as well. They have a waffle maker! Fun for the kids. The front desk was kind and helpful. Our waters had been opened and they replaced them with no issue. We also had our dog with us. They do have strict noise rules for the dogs. They take your phone number when you check in in case there's issues. Totally worth an overnight stay!

My husband and I are moving across country and Bakersfield was our final stop. Unfortunately, our car top storage unit was stolen during the night. The hotel manager didn’t even bother to come out and speak to us about the situation, and we had to wait over an hour to even view the footage. On a positive note, the front staff was very nice. Still, I would have expected the manager to be more sympathetic and helpful. We were also informed by the Sherrif’s department that this is a common occurrence at this location.

Hotel staff was very helpful and polite. They were able to give us a pair of rooms right next to each other even though we originally reserved our rooms via Expedia and they gave us rooms on different floors. Also, I left my charger in the room and the cleaners returned it to me right away. Rooms were decent. Continental breakfast was included. Food was the usual stuff.

La Quinta Inn North is a great place to stay. Don't, I repeat, don't ever stay at La Quinta South. It is a DUMP. We made the mistake of staying there. Our next trip we booked the North. Staff and room were outstanding. We expected the usual Continental breakfast and were surprised they also had scrambled eggs and sausage. WOW. We will be booking here in the future. Thanks staff.

We stayed for about a week in one of the king suites. Loved it!!! Very spacious, contemporary and clean. All staff members were amazing. Very quiet and felt right at home. The most amazing part... Dog friendly!!! With no extra fees for the fur 😉 highly recommend this location. Easy access to highways, gas and fast food. Bathroom small, closet tiny, indoor pool with hot tub was a nice treat. They have self serve laundry for just a dollar to wash and the same to dry. Little gym next to pool with the basics, but new and working.
