Comfortable new seating.  Good sound. Good variety of food, I shouldn't have rushed to eat before the movie.  It is next door to a healthy cafe if you want that choice

My husband and I used to go to Laemmle Monica twice per week.  It was our go-to movie house.  We waited with anticipation for the remodel.  With excitement, we returned to the theater, only to be terribly disappointed in the quality of the seats.  They are uncomfortable, stiff, poorly sized, and absolutely not conducive to watching a movie.  We tried a second and third time,  but were unable to view a movie without getting a back twinge or neck ache.  We don't go there anymore, at all.  Never.

Independent films shown here, have a great selection of interesting films, highly recommend especially at the price

Clean, newly renovated theater near Santa Monica beach and a few blocks from the 3rd Street Promenade. Good acoustics and projection for indie and a few mainstream flicks. Seats are new, but a bit stiff for me so I always bring a seat cushion. Parking lot across the street with 90 min free parking.

Wow loved this theater. The seats are so comfy and the screen size isn't bad at all! Great selection of thought provoking and meaningful content. 
We have a big tv at home so I prefer to go to the theater and support independent films and documentaries at the theater and watch blockbusters at home. And now we are just going to come here all the time because the seats were so comfortable (like arm chairs), it's clean and they often have showings with special guests.
