I have been a patient at LOR for a number of years. If you need excellent care at a PT facility, this is the place to go. My experience at LOR has been consistently outstanding. Staff members are very knowledgeable and caring. You get the sense that they truly take an interest in your well being and recovery and are wiling to go the extra mile to help you achieve your goals. I want to mention in particular Susan Benner, a true professional, not only very well versed in her field, but friendly and caring as well. Working with her has been very rewarding. I highly recommend her.

Laguna Ortho/Rehab is the best PT office in South Orange County. The PT's and staff, are all friendly, positive, encouraging, and engaging. They ask all the right questions, and set you on a path to quick recovery. More important than their medical expertise, is their overall POSTIVE attitude. Generally, when an athlete is sent for PT, they are down, sad, distressed over an injury pulling them from prime performance. I was injured only a few months out from my first half Ironman. I was terribly depressed and worried I would not make it to the starting line. Not a PT session went by that I wasn't filled with HOPE and ENCOURAGEMENT, and told to stick to the plan. In the long run, John Thomas and his staff made it all happen. Their healing hands, top-notch equipment, individualized strength training programs, led me down the path to full recovery. It was ironically a sad day when I no longer needed PT! I am so grateful for their services, and long term sports/training relationship.

I am a 64-year old woman. I have been a client at Laguna Orthopedic Rehabilitation (LOR) for over five years and have been treated by Physical Therapists (PTs) John, Dee Dee, Dustin, and Julie. To a person, these PTs are highly skilled, caring, and competent. They are all well educated and thoroughly versed in cutting edge techniques and practices. Their knowledge and experience individually, and as a team, is impressive in both its depth and breadth. In short, they know what they are doing and why! Most importantly, they LISTEN to their clients to quickly and accurately identify and understand what the issues are and then partner with the client to create a therapy plan and goals. They explain what they are doing and why and often use phrases like “Does that make sense?” or "Do you have any questions?". They use feedback, both positive and negative, to continue or modify the treatment plan to provide the best results. In addition, it is clear that their Physical Therapy Aides John B., Bree, and Olivia have been trained to provide the highest levels of professional and competent care to LOR clients. Although it was never my intention to become a “frequent flyer” at this outstanding facility, I have been treated pre- and post-op for two hip replacements, a broken wrist, and a broken elbow. I have also had occasional pain management treatment for fused cervical vertebrae. I have to say that physical therapy is definitely hard work that doesn’t end when you finish treatment! Long-lasting results depend on your commitment to pro-actively continuing your maintenance exercises and/or stretches provided in the treatment plan. It is just natural to do less and less outside of PT when you begin feeling better! Until you feel worse…. I guess the proof is in the pudding! One of my hip replacements was in January 2017 and I broke both my arms in a hiking accident in May of 2017. Post-surgery rehabilitation treatment with the PTs and aides mentioned above has allowed me to resume ALL my pre-surgery and pre-accident activities. After physical therapy at LOR, I can still hike 6-12 miles in a weekend, using my trekking poles, as usual, on rough trails. I am able to kayak with little or no pain. I also do the elliptical and arm/leg weight machines at my gym. Being able to function at the level my chosen life style requires, with a minimum of pain, or no pain, is why I can sincerely recommend physical therapy treatment at LOR without reservation. Make the right call!
