Be very careful when using them. Get everything in writing as well as copies of everything you fill out including the sheet that they use to chart your rehabilitation. I was milked for every visit allowed by my insurance. The Therapists' helpers were wondering why I wasn't be challenged more. Going into a new year I was told by Laura (my PT) that I was approved for 20 more visits until their was a discrepancy in the year priors billing. I was billed for 3 visits, over $1,000. I gave the bill to Tina in billing. After a week of not being allowed to return, I called for an update and was told that I could return. At the end of my work out, without being check out first, I was told that the twenty was revoked and brought down to two visits, today being one of the two. When I asked a reason I was given an excuse that it had to do with my insurance company and nothing to do with them. Each question I asked there after the excuse was repeated, just as Laura had been coached to do. I'm contacting their corporate office and my attorney as I just filled out a progress report that yielded just over 30% back to normal. I was then asked by Laura if I was able to hop, run or pickup groceries before my injury. I'm a 46 year old man that had no limits until the injury. The PT's are ripping off your insurance company, many times they will not give you more than a few minutes of their time, yet your insurance company is charged in full. The PT helpers will be the ones that really care about you, the PT's get paid by the number of visits, the more you go the more they make.
