Lake Cove Resort has been the premier family oriented resort on Douglas Lake for the past 25 years. Husband-and-wife team, Steve and Cammie Palmer, opened the grounds in 1991 with a vision to build an exciting destination for RV enthusiasts, campers, and cabin dwellers to bring their families on memorable vacations. Combining Steve’s propensity for construction with Cammie’s great instincts for hospitality, Lake Cove was transformed from the site of a former horse ranch into a booming lakeside retreat. Starting off with only a few RVs and a pool, the Palmers built lodging and recreation from small cabins and the clubhouse, to a boat ramp, to a miniature golf course, and basketball, horseshoe and volleyball courts. Each year still, hundreds of families from across the United States visit Lake Cove Resort to relax on the lake, enjoy the resort amenities, and adventure to nearby attractions. Only a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and Pigeon Forge, guests experience the spectacular views of the lake and mountains in a comfortable setting.
