Disappointing. Students are sent to a "learning center" if they are late to class (no matter the reason) which is basically a detention room where they learn absolutely nothing. Outdated rules and regulations. Also disturbing to hear of a teacher who gossips about students (are you kidding me?), plays favorites and speaks way too much about their personal life in class. Very inappropriate, immature behavior. Teachers should be spending their time building up each and every student they have the privilege of teaching. LGH you need to do better.

Out of all the highschools in Lakeland This highschool , in my opinion, is the best! Most versatile in academics, student ethnic backgrounds, sports etc. I am however concerned with lack of needed security to keep our kids & the school safe. As stated from a parent review above. Also many teachers that aren't as qualified in their specific degrees that should be. Example, without naming names,a certain Math teacher that gives her students different (wrong) answers to questions for the same questions. Then tells the students their answers (that she provided as the Correct answer) are Incorrect. Very confusing for the students. Who are desperately trying to understand and get it right. Overall im very pleased with LakeGison Senior Highschool. My child has been attending since her freshmen year. Graduating this year! The Principles, Deans, Teachers, Guidance have been wonderful to her. For that im Super grateful.

I was able to walk into this school without without being stopped or questioned right in front of the police. I walked into the guidance office and no one was available to speak with i walked around their office i could have gotten into any files i wanted to. This school is potentially dangerously for students. Now I'm a parent of one of the students that goes there. This is what happened when I was trying to enroll him.
