I live 1 mile from this park, I visit all the time. One with nature any season it is beautiful. Watch for deer and other wildlife, enjoy swimming, fishing, boating in the summer and continue hunting and sightseeing after Labor day.

We enjoy the lake great perch n catfishing. Beautiful picnic areas, nice beaches, but the water had been muddy from excess rains. The dam is a neat place to visit, watch the fish try to swim back up it! We rent the large cabin almost every year for a family get together. The fresh paint, new flooring, new futons are very nice. The kitchen needs more utinsels, pots n pans, we contributed some coffee mugs ourselves two years ago. The cabin sleeps up to 10 but the kitchen plates, n such is for six to eight. We usually use paper plates. Beds are comfortable. Mice are evident there. They do treat for bugs and put out stuff for them but it is older cabins in the woods.... Nature invades.

We visited the weekend of July 27-30, 2017. The park itself is beautiful and well kept. The lake was nice but the bass-fishing wasn't very good. We rented a cabin here at the state park. The cabin itself was clean, however, the oven was filthy and the cooking utensils were not usable. We also had a problem with small millipedes crawling through the bathroom.

Excellent state park. We stayed the weekend in a camper cabin, and would gladly go back.
