Story

Landmark Theatres re-opened the West End Cinema on Friday, July 17, 2015. Located at 2301 M St, NW, the West End Cinema joins Landmark’s sister locations in the D.C. area, the E Street Cinema and Bethesda Row Cinema, and allows Landmark Theatres to bring even more films and events to the Foggy Bottom, Georgetown and Dupont Circle neighborhoods.

West End Cinema features three auditoriums, with two opening initially while additional upgrades to the theatre continue. When completed, the new Landmark Theatres West End Cinema will feature larger screens, new seating, an expanded concession menu and alcoholic beverages. The cinema is conveniently located three blocks north of the Foggy Bottom Metro Station on 23rd St, NW.

We really like the Landmark Theater chain with a better variety at foods and a week-stocked bar for any kind of drink. The big comfortable reserved seating on a raked floor means no instructed views. Our favorite theater is the one in Bethesda, with a comfortable lounge to sit and wait for friends while enjoying the treats. They play the better, more interesting movies.

Gotta love an indie theater. An employee warned my group to stay tuned for a post-credits scene, which was nice. And at the end of the night he gave out bags of leftover popcorn for free.

A really good place for family outings. I went here once and I marveled at how beautiful the place is. It’s also a good place for the family. A world class theater.
