Lankford Funeral Home is proud to be family owned and operated by the Lankford Family since 1950. We have been serving DeLand, Florida and Volusia County for over 66 years. Please allow us to help you Celebrate the Life of your Loved One. We offer Traditional Services as well as Cremation Services. My family and I could not be more grateful and appreciative of the amazing care our mother received at Lankford. The compassion, understanding and kindness from the staff was heartfelt. What could have been one of the most miserable and difficult of times,  became a loving and joyful journey of celebration accomplished with dignity and respect. From the selection of a casket, to the development of a video montage of pictures of our beloved mother to the selection of her final resting place, the Lankford personnel were there every step of the way...guiding, supporting,  encouraging and yes offering hugs,  tissues and kind words. 
We chose Lankford  based off their previous reviews. It is our hope that this review will help others to do the same. Thank you Cheryl, Debbie, Terry, Joann and all who assisted with Edna's funeral.  God Bless.

We were treated with great condolences in losing our father. I'm from Connecticut and not knowing the area, I use the world best used tool called Google. I made several calls and it might sound silly but after talking with Cheryl,  i felt this was the place to go. Also, it was helped how organized and easy it was to use the company website. 

I went in with my three siblings, stepmom, and three other family members. We first met with Cheryl to then work with Terri to finish organizing our father's cremation plan. Terri was a blessing to us during this hard time. The loved she gave and having a checklist for us was helpful.

When it came time to choose the home to take care of my father's funeral, we struggled because there were so few reviews available online. I don't really know what caused us to choose Lankford, but I am so glad we did. From the moment we walked in the door, we were comforted by the homeyness. The visitation area (if you choose to forego the chapel) was comprised of several little rooms with sofas and tables. It made visiting with family and friends cozy and comfortable. Brian, the Funeral Director we met with, immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease, as if we were friends. From there, my mom and I both felt like nothing could have been handled any better. Brian was there every step of the way, and things went exactly as we had requested. He accommodated every need with a smile, and made a very sad process as pleasant as it could have been. We are forever thankful to Lankford, and know my dad, who liked to have everything done just so, would have been honored.

I contacted Lankford to set up an irrevocable funeral trust & insurance policy for my elderly mother.  Mathew was the person who helped me.  He explained everything thoroughly & guided me in the right direction as far making decisions.  He also took the time to fax several documents for me & promptly returned my phone calls regarding questions I had. It is clear that this business cares about customer service.
