Story

Since 1974, Lauer's Supermarket & Bakery has been an integral part of the Pasadena community. Helen and Edward Lauer opened their first store on Mountain Road in 1974 and a second store in Riviera Beach in 1982. In order to offer more services to our growing customer base, the original Mountain Road location was replaced with a larger store on Edwin Raynor Boulevard in 1988.

Service is at the very heart of Lauer's mission. Lauer's is known not only for its first rate customer service, but also for the signature baked goods and homemade salads that have been enjoyed by customers for over three decades.

Lauer's Supermarket & Bakery is committed to the local community, especially its youth. Lauer's supports local schools through its advertising program and is a frequent sponsor of area sports programs, scouting functions, church dinners, and the Downs Park concert series. Lauer's Learning Ladder, the store's flagship community service program, rewards the loyalty of its frequent shoppers by donating dollars for local education. Lauer's has contributed over $950,000 to community schools since 1992.

Even in the 21st century, Lauer's still stands for old-fashioned values. Lauer daughters Babette Poyer and Bernadette Snoops own and operate the stores today, and are as committed to service and community involvement as their parents.
