This was my first visit to LaVida Massage and was a very special gift from my husband for Christmas and I was so excited because I've been asking for one.  The spa was great, the therapist was sweet, I wanted a deep tissue massage and I got what I needed . She did a wonderful massage and I was very relaxed. She was able to get the knots out of my shoulder and neck muscles.  She did do some amazing stretches that helped too.

I only get my eyebrows done here.  Erica is exceptional. She is gentle and meticulous.  I actually fell asleep while she was sculpting my brows last.  She also gives a mean facial.  The massages her are quite good too.

Last Friday my Dr took me for a special treat due to a promotion I received at work. We arrived on time. Was told the facial therapist was running a little late. Sat there for over an hour waiting for her.. no show then was told there was a miscommunication w facial therapist.. who miscommunicated?? Our appointments were confirmed. I work in service industry as well and would have been profusely apologizing and making it right.. very unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE!!

MOST UNPROFESSIONAL ENCOUNTER EVER!!!!! The beatician didnt show up for the confirmed APPT!!! I wish there is a 0 star I can give.

Planned to take my office manager for a treat, wanting to surprise her for a relaxation session at LaVida Ferndale. 
Booked online for an one hour long facial with Erica on 1/19/18 at 3:45pm. Received a confirmation phone call in the am by Shawn to state it's all set, also booked a 3:45 massage for myself since I have to be there anyway.
We showed up on time, the receptionist was on the phone, didnt check us in until 3:55, until the massage therapist Eric showed up at front desk to inquire where is my client. She apologized before I walked in, but hello, I paid for each minute she was on the phone. 
Most absurd thing happened next, receptionist told us that the beautician Erica is running late for a few minutes, it was 15 mins past the appt time. There is nothing we can do, so I went in for the massage. 
When I came out my 15mins short massage session, I saw my office manager was still sitting in the waiting room, I was informed, the beautician Erica DIDNT SHOW UP for her work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so upset, it supposed to be a treat for my guest, but she was siting out there this whole time waiting for me instead. WHY the receptionist lied to us the beautician was running a few minutes late, if she didnt lie, we could cancel the appt and go somewhere else!!!!

Despite all the unprofessionalism and incompetency, my therapist Eric was good.

First time there and had the worse massage ever. It wasn't a massage he just put lotion on me for an hour. The atmosphere was great and he was nice but did not know how to massage. He ignored the stress areas I needed him to work on. I thought I was on candid camera being here. I told the receptionist Steve of my experience he just apologized took my money and states well Danny is new. I felt ripped off. Never Again will I go back.
