Story

The Learning for Life Center was founded in 1998 by Lavetta Westphal-Rolfs to provide a resource for the Topeka Community promoting personal growth and exploration. The Learning for Life Center offers classes in yoga, a variety of meditation practices, music therapy and drumming on a weekly basis. The Center is also the working home of several talented massage therapists and energy healers. Periodic workshops are offered in Compassionate Communications, Authentic Movement, Self Integration, Reiki, Sound Healing and a variety of art therapies, including mandalas as a healing and meditation practice. Lavetta also offers private sessions utilizing Self Integration therapy and Compassionate Communications. The Center also hosts guest speakers for workshops and classes. We provide opportunities for all ages to find the support they need as they explore their Dharma, their Life Path. We encourage people to explore various aspect of themselves as they grow toward living the values taught by all spiritual paths -- Love, Compassion and Kindness, caring for themselves, others and the Planet.
