The food was great and yes they only take cash... Not sure why people complain about rude staff, they were nothing but nice to us and once we got our food they stayed out of our way. Will be back again. 

Cash only does not deserve a 1 star review, there is an ATM right next door.

Love this place, owner is a no fuss french man. I really wanted some brioche, brie and mortadella. They have very reasonable pricing when it comes to cheese and meat and an extensive collection of wines to choose from. They were out of brie and mortadella, which is okay, I can always come back. I still bought the brioche. It's delicious - so buttery and enough to share. But I'm selfish, back off, it's mine, all mine! They only make mille feuille (napoleons) on Fridays and I never seem to get there when there's any left. It's my mission to get one!  Back on topic -
when you walk in, there are display fridges with a la carte desserts ranging from whole cakes to slices, tarts, tortes, croissants, danishes, cookies and brioche loaves (small and large). I've had the croissants before and they're as authentic as it comes. Buttery and savory. I've had the ham and cheese and just cheese and both were absolutely delightful. I took home a loaf of brioche and a slice of lemon cream cake. Just thinking about the lemon cake makes my mouth water. It has great lemon flavor without being overpowering. The cake is moist and the crust is brushed with lemon icing - it's crispy and addicting. The cream filling has a thick consistency, they don't cut any corners. It's all made from scratch and it's the most authentic patisserie in Lexington. No wonder this place has been there for so many years. This is a cash only establishment.

Got some amazing fresh French bread for my wife's birthday for a great price. Proprietors were very nice and helpful.

Great eggplant parmesan. No ham sandwich compares to the simplicity and deliciousness of the Parisian.

Always ask for a recommendation when picking out wine. Give the situation/food/price range, and you won't come away disappointed.

I wish I could personally respond to the people about unwelcoming servers...  The owner and the servers are the very reason my kid and I frequent this bakery.  It's a very dry sense of humor.  I've always felt welcomed and have been amused over the years watching their interactions with people. 
The food is amazing, especially their soups.   But their desserts.. omg, I dream of their chocolate mountain and coconut cookies.
It's local flavor, and well worth the time.
