Note:  MAKE SURE TO TAKE CASH AS THEY ARE A CASH ONLY BUSINESS.  Spalding's is probably one of the oldest continually operating businesses in town and with good reason.  Their doughnuts are a thing of local legend that will almost literally melt in your mouth.  Their glazed doughnuts are a must though their other varieties are nice as well.  For anyone living in or visiting the Lexington area, a trip to Spalding's is a must for you can not say you have truly experienced all that the city has to offer until you have visited Spalding's Bakery.

Super friendly environment. Absolutely delicious melt in your mouth donuts. A true treasure I'm Lexington and a must visit!

The true judge of a quality donut at any donut shop is how good their glazed donuts are. These glazed donuts are excellent. Everything else here is also quite good, especially the cream filled. Worth the visit.

Super nice people in there, but I just wasn't a fan of what I tried in there for my first experience. But ill definitepy go try some more stuff from there because they were so friendly.

Simply the best doughnuts in the land, and I've been around...I actually toured Kentucky in search of doughnuts for a story that I was writing. So I had donuts twice a day for the better part of two weeks. This was the best by far. It's years later and I can still close my eyes and taste them...
