Loved the library! The branches are nice spread out throughout Lexington. Parking at the main library was the only problem I had.

I've lived in many cities, big and small, and so have used many libraries. This is one of the worst I've encountered, especially considering the population served. The digital collection is especially bad. Using RBDigital rather than Overdrive is a big mistake. Rather than promote the valuable Freegal resource, which has a huge collection of rare music, the library deleted it. I was told by a staffer that Freegal is too expensive, but many smaller library systems in the state offer it. My impression is that LPL is much more likely to buy books written by politically Left authors than by conservative or libertarian writers. Libraries have staffs that typically lean Left, but that should not impact collections. I have generally found it doesn't, but at this library I think it does. Update: Not long after I posted my review the library announced it's switching to Overdrive.

Omg, this library is awesome. It was easy for me to find the room to find what I books I needed. The staff was more than helpful. The only thing that I found confusing was the parking garage. It came out behind the library. There were signs to assist, but the last sign took me inside of a different facility.

i don't like this library that much. i wasn't really paying that much attention to the materials. i looked around didn't really find that much. i like other library along the 11 bus. and it is the cave library. they have apple computer and software you are allowed to use them all day. and i did not the cafe at this library. you can go across the street to get a better scone or bagel. i think i bought some to drink here but i don't remember. they all have free wifi at public libraries 99% of them
