Lincoln Bakery

I really am not happy about doing this review, but it is a cautionary tale. I have never ordered anything from this bakery, but my friend whose home I was going for Thanksgiving always orders her sweets from Lincoln. I picked up a 7" white cake with raspberry filling and a pumpkin roll, and delivered these to my friend's house before dinner. When arriving at her home for dinner, she preceded to tell me that when she opened the cake box, the top half had slid off and was against the side of the box. She repaired it as well as she could, but the was also a bulge at the bottom of the cake. I cut into it and the middle of the cake was in pieces, not layers. I have made and decorated cakes myself, and this looked as if something has happened to the top layer, been pieces together and sold that way, and that is my biggest problem...that this cake was sold at all. Transporting the cake involved a short ride in the car,it wasn't hot out or hot in the car, so there really wasn't a reason for that cake to slide, so what happened is a mystery. Lincoln made good on giving my friend a store credit for the cake, and she was very pleased and will continue to shop at this bakery. I will not. Selling a cake with a problem was a problem for me, so I might suggest you check a cake you purchase before leaving the store.

The maple-glazed cinnamon roll was the best cinnamon roll I’ve literally ever had in my entire life. Everything was fresh and AWESOME!!!! The bar cookies are another one of my favorites if you even need a suggestion here!

Over the phone I was told I could order a Christmas cake 48hrs prior. As I missed it last year. Went in today to order a cake and was turned down and told...ITS POSTED ONLINE! Well a lot of us don't order cake online! I researched the website and could not find the deadline posted which I was told was last Saturday. Sam's Club to my surprise,very tasty was happy to take my order and is much lighter on the wallet. A disappointed loyal 20+years customer.

Maybe I came on an off day but the baked goods looked a little too home made for my liking with staff looking exhausted. Please take care of your staff. Merry Xmas

Such a great little bakery. Their treats are great. They do a great job at decorating cakes. Their customer service is wonderful. They're in a very convenient location.

Lots of great options for cupcakes, cakes and pastries!

Usually satisfied. But we pre-ordered New Year's pretzels this year. When we picked them up, they were smashed from obviously being stacked at the bakery when fresh. Very disappointed.

Customer service!! Was so happy with the suggestions and guidance provided ordering this cake for a 50th wedding anniversary. It was, believe it or not, even tastier than it looked too...

One of the very best bakeries in the Pittsburgh area. The glazed donuts are legendary.

"6 Hamburger buns were delicious and well-baked. 2 Powdered-Vanilla Icing Lady Locks were well-received. A Pineapple Upside Down Cake had moist and soft-to-the-tongue texture batter. Yet, it needed more necessary pastry sauce topping in order to make it tastier."
