We initially went to lassi and spicy place. I got disappointed there because there timings are so misleading!! But Just tiffins opened on time !! Wow coming to taste I loved it!! It is too yummy You can see the below pictures we literally ordered different types of Dosas and sambar is too good
The restaurant was very dirty, cluttered with containers/packages, and the food was mediocre. The official food safety rating was "good", not excellent. We probably would have left immediately but the group was too hungry.
My second favoured Tamil style vegetarian place to go to. After Madras dosa corner in Issaquah I like their dosais and vadais, I usually try to avoid going on weekends because they are usually backed up and their sambars and chutneys could be runny There is enough seating for folks If you are going to order a quick meal, go for the combos especially on weekends the dosas and especially the rava dosais and the uthapams take a lot longer
Update: ====== The restaurant has moved to a new location. I ordered tiffin combo, the sambar was watery, idli and vada was hard. I find the cleanliness and the quality of the food has gone down a lot. Just Tiffins seems to be a restaurant that serves dishes from Tamilnadu, a south Indian state. I have been trying different south Indian place for sambar and i finally my search ended in Just Tiffens. I ordered mini meals and it had sambar rice, appalam, curd rice , Rava kesari and pumpkin curry. The sambar rice was just perfect, it's not too spicy and yet it had the nice aroma of the spices and with appalam it tasted even better. I liked the curd rice too. The Rava kesari was right mix of ghee, nuts and pineapple flavour. I ordered medu Vada and it was the best i ever had in US. It's soft, crispy and doesn't have too much.
Ordered takeout for Medhu Vada and Onion Rava Masala Dosa. Medhu Vada was good but Dosa was bad. One look at the Dosa should have been enough for them to realize that the pan was not hot enough for Dosa to be properly cooked and redo it again instead of simply sending it in the takeout order, see photo of the fully white Dosa with no real brown color to speak of. Also the masala quantity was very little. Not 1* as Vada was good, not 3* because how could they ignore the white color of Dosa?
Finally adding another south indian restaurent to my go to list along with anjappar. Had south indian thali and 'meal deal' which includes bisi bellabath, veg pulav, curry and curd rice. Thali and this was very delicious. I loved the sambar. I feel if a restaurent is able to make this delicious there is very high hopes that the rest of the dishes will also be good. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good south indian food. Vegetarian options: It is a pure vegetarian restaurant.
We came here on a weekend and ordered their combo, thali, dosa and filter coffee. We liked the coffee but the entire food was lukewarm. We were disappointed in the sambhar and chutneys since they were so bland and runny.
Another South Indian spot. The vada was hot, fresh and crisp, the dosa was pretty decent too! Their sambhar and chutneys are absolutely not good! So eat the dosa and vada on its own, which is still not a bad idea.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Our go-to place for medu vada. I could say that this place has one of the best vadas I've eaten in the US. It's crispy and just right. Also love their ghee masala dosa, veg biryani which is basically pulao and kesari. The chutney that accompanies the dosa is decent but the sambhar isn't that great. The staff always seem to be under pressure or annoyed that they have so many customers to serve. They should definitely work on being a little more polite and smile!!! Such a put off when they can make great food but not have good service.
Went for breakfast. Samosa was in specials they were really good. Also ordered Mysore masala dosa was decent. Sambar is simple but chutneys are good. Will try other dosas next time.
